WHO WE ARE
OUR STORY
With the increase in demand for illustrations, after 3 months, I decided to dedicate myself 100% to this project. However, in addition to sharing the illustrations, I also started sharing tips, suggestions and inspirational images, relating to my area of training: architecture, which, consequently, led to the emergence of the first requests for interior projects.
Initially, the projects I carried out were mainly intended for baby or children's rooms, however, as people followed my projects and identified with my way of working and designing, other requests arose: complete interior and architectural projects.
Initially, I created a small office in the outbuildings of my house. Today, we have a studio in Coimbra and we are a team of eight employees. Currently, we have partners who we consider essential for the implementation of our projects, namely carpentry, upholstery and carpenter technicians, who help us create custom-made furniture.

I believe that interior architecture is essential for our lives, and in particular for our well-being. The relationship with the space we live in and the people we share it with is truly transformed and modified when we plan and think about our home in detail.
I also believe that each house is unique and that whoever lives in it transforms it. We all have different habits, different tastes, different professions, different families. Each house, each space, each room must be designed based on who lives in it and always taking into account their needs, desires, wishes and objectives.

My name is Barbara Dias, I'm 38 years old, I'm an architect and I've always had a huge passion for drawing and painting. In 2019, while pregnant with Mateus, I started painting illustrations, in colored pencil, to decorate his room. The people I welcomed into my home praised my designs so much that, the following year, encouraged by my husband Luís, I decided to create Pistacho.
Three months later, I was making the decision to dedicate myself 100% to this project. Over time, in addition to the illustrations, I also started sharing tips, suggestions and inspirational images, relating to my area of training, architecture.
The success was such that the first requests for interior projects soon appeared. Today, we have a studio in Coimbra and we are a team of eight employees. We also have construction, assembly and partner teams that we consider crucial to the implementation of our projects, namely carpentry technicians, upholstery technicians, carpenters, and suppliers of coverings, textiles and lighting who help us create custom-made furniture.
Criar a Pistacho foi a realização de um sonho, é incrível poder acordar todos os dias para fazer algo de que realmente gosto, que é criar, desenhar e projetar. A minha vida é ajudar as pessoas a terem a sua casa de sonho.
