The bed that closed the wardrobe
The wardrobe door opens halfway and stops against the bed frame. To take out a coat, you reach in sideways.

On the window side there is no room for it. The lamp and the book end up on the floor.

The headboard that would not turn on the stairs
It arrived in one piece, the staircase had a corner, and the 1.60 m headboard went back.

It isn't the bed.
It's the space left around it.

A bedroom is solved in centimetres. 4 measurements decide whether the bed lets the room breathe or fills it wall to wall, and almost no one measures them before choosing.

When the bed arrives first and the measuring comes later, the room adjusts to the bed. It should be the other way round.

70 cm

On each side of the bed
A Queen bed is 160 cm wide. With 70 on each side to move around and make the bed, the wall needs 3 m. A King needs 3.20 m.
60 cm

At the foot of the bed
The minimum to walk past without brushing. If you add a bench at the foot, add its depth to the sum.
90 cm

Between the bed and the wardrobe
An open wardrobe door takes 60 cm. The other 30 are for the person standing in front of it.
0 to 5 cm

From the mattress to the bedside table top
The top sits between mattress level and 5 cm below. Higher and the lamp shines in your eyes. Lower and the glass of water feels far away.

Every bed comes in Queen or King, with a fully upholstered headboard and side rails. The bed is the frame: the base and mattress are chosen separately, on the product page, so each one has the right size.

Before the bed goes into production, we confirm the stairs, the door and the lift with you.

Your fabric, your wood.

The same bed changes the bedroom depending on the finish. 11 fabrics, 3 woods, 3 lacquers. Natural wood veneer in oak, walnut or smoked eucalyptus. Metal details in black or matt gold.

Fully upholstered side rails. Drawer with recessed handle, soft-close runners, velvet-lined interior.

None of this is visible once the bed is made. That is why you notice it.

How do I know the bed has enough space?

Measure 3 things. The width of the wall the headboard will rest against, allowing 70 cm clear on each side. The distance to the wardrobe, which needs 90 cm for the door to open. And the route to the bedroom: the stairs, the door and the lift. A Queen headboard is over 1.60 m and it is the piece that will not turn corners. Before the bed goes into production, we confirm these measurements with you.

Do the mattress and base come with the bed?

No. The bed is the frame: headboard, side rails and legs. The base and the mattress are chosen separately, on the bed's product page.

If you already have a mattress, it works if it is Queen or King. Any other size will not: the frame is made for the mattress and cannot be adjusted later. Measure yours before choosing.

When does it arrive?

Each piece is made after you order. Bedside tables and benches, 2 weeks. Beds, 3 weeks. Then 1 more week for delivery and assembly.

How much are delivery and assembly?

Nothing: delivery and assembly are free in mainland Portugal. Our own team brings the bed and leaves it assembled in the bedroom. The islands are quoted on request.

What if it does not suit the bedroom?

Free returns within 14 days, no questions asked.

The exception is a customised piece, for example in a different size: it is made for your bedroom and cannot be returned.

What warranty does it have?

3-year legal warranty. If you notice any defect, write to help@pistachodecor.com with a description and photographs.

What are the pieces made of?

Fully upholstered headboards and side rails, in fabric or in ELASTRON, a synthetic material that is soft to the touch and highly resistant. Wooden frame and legs; the base and the mattress are chosen separately. Bedside tables come in natural wood veneer, in oak, walnut or smoked eucalyptus, or lacquered, with a drawer with recessed handle, soft-close runners and velvet-lined interior. All made in our own joinery.

What about pets at home?

Every upholstered bed and bench is available in 3 Aqua fabrics, which are petproof: Sky, Gold and Soft. They resist snagging from claws, and hair comes off with a lint roller or a damp cloth.
