The door was 80 cm wide, the lift less. Nobody measured the way in before ordering it.
To reach the balcony you turn sideways, between the arm of the sofa and the TV unit. Every day.
It isn't the sofa.
It's the space left around it.
A living room is solved in centimetres, not in style. 4 measurements decide whether the sofa opens the room or closes it, and almost nobody takes them before choosing.
When the piece comes first and the measurement after, the room has to adjust to the sofa. It should be the other way round.
The cause
Room for legs and for walking past. Less than this and the room feels tight. More than this and nobody can reach their cup.
For a 55-inch screen. The simple rule: 1.5 to 2 times the screen diagonal.
The distance that lets 2 people pass without asking. Measure the walkway before choosing the depth of the sofa.
The front legs of the sofa resting on the rug. That is what brings the room together instead of dividing it.

The width can be adjusted on request: customisation is quoted separately and, because it is made for your room, cannot be returned.
